I am not technical Neil and do not understand what you refer to below but I
have heard others say that there is hiss on e7 too. I have other models but not
with me so do not know how Eloquence will behave on then. It is disappointing
that there is so much hiss on e5 as I only upgraded to it with Talks on July
13. As my e7 has died I must wait until I return to UK to find out how it
behaves on that phone.

i do know what you mean about hiss on the lower 8 bit version.

Hi. I've installed all the new files and have to say that Eloquence hisses
alot. It sounds like someone scribbling on a notepad.
