I received the text of the email below from someone watching the city's
web site and/or the Democrat:

Reductions to StarMetro on a very, very fast track.

The City released the background info for the Monday, July 8 Budget
Workshop for FY 2014.

There was no provision for public input at the meeting on Monday, July 8
when the proposed reductions could be approved.

Check out page 55 of the "Follow-up Package" for Monday's meeting. On
page 55 there are several proposed service reductions to the StarMetro
system that lack detail. Service would be reduced in an unspecified way
on the Big Bend, Live Oak, San Luis and Gulf Routes. In addition, the
"T" would terminate at Koger instead of Southwood.

It is my understanding that StarMetro will have to hold public meetings
before any changes are made. You may want to contact the City
Commissioners with the message that no reductions should be approved.

This will be on tomorrow's 7-10-2013, Commission Agenda.

Below is a link to the packet for Monday.

City of Tallahassee Commission Meeting Agendas have Gone Green!
The City of Tallahassee has converted to a paperless electronic process
for City Commission meeting agendas. This conversion falls in line with
the City's "green" initiatives by reducing the amount of paper used to
compile the agenda for Commission meetings. The electronic process is
more cost-efficient and will provide citizens with immediate access to
City Commission agenda materials, once posted. This application is fully
supported on most mobile devices, or any laptop or tablet with an
Internet browser.
