If any of you have friends looking for farm work this year... Michele runs a
great farm and has dozens of happy chickens!! Nina worked with her a few
years back and always had a good time. She would be a great person to learn
from.

Looking for mature, responsible individual to help in all aspects of
farm operation. Zephyr Farm is a five acre operation run by Michele
Kozloski in Cranston, RI. She raises over 700 egg laying chickens and
50 different vegetables along with producing all the basil for Besto
Pesto, which she also owns and operates. She attends 3 farmers
markets in the summer, 2 in the winter, has a small CSA, and various
other accounts.
The position is part time beginning in April and running thru Nov.
The right candidate will help with everything from seeding to weeding
to selling to delivery. The hours can potentially be formed around
the right candidate but must be available Saturdays to sell at farmers
market. Also must have own transportation. Looking for someone
hardworking, able to work under all conditions, able to work alone and
in groups, someone self-driven, and who can keep up with me. Previous
farm experience a plus.
Please send resume and a letter describing yourself and why you want
to work on a farm this summer. Compensation to be determined for the
right candidate. Must come for a farm visit and volunteer for a
couple of hours before being hired. Multiple positions may be
available.
