This message was sent from: Sun Community Forum. <http://www.gekkou.co.uk/forum/read.php?f=1&i=554&t=554> ---------------------------------------------------------------- I recently installed an Expert3d-Lite into my blade 100 and I also use a SunPCi IIpro through X a lot. For awhile there was no difference in operation between the two except that I could take my resoultion to 1600x1200x75. Then, for no reason I could see, drawing operations in the SunPCi X window began to take FOREVER!--There is clipping when I refresh the desktop or move the mouse fast, and there is at least a 2 second lag when I move windows around in it, too. I installed Solaris 9 from scratch in the last few weeks, but that hasn't changed anything. Can anyone help me diagnose this problem? Thanks. Here is some output from fbconfig if it helps: fbconfig -propt --- OpenWindows Configuration for /dev/fb --- OWconfig: machine Video Mode: 1280x1024x75 Accum: Disabled (do not allocate an accumulation buffer) Samples Per Pixel: 16 (Note: configured video mode doesn't support multisampling) Multisample Mode: Disabled (multisample visuals will not be available) Default Visual: Non-Linear Normal Visual Visual Ordering: Linear Visuals are last Overlay Visuals are last OpenGL Visual Expansion: enabled Gamma Correction Value: 2.22 Gamma Correction Table: Available Fake8 rendering: disabled fbconfig -prconf --- Hardware Configuration for /dev/fb --- Type: Expert3D-Lite PROM Information: @(#)ifblite.fth 1.14 00/10/23 SMI EDID Data: Available - EDID version 1 revision 2 Monitor type: DEL product code 20856 S/N 875573316 DOM 47W/2000 Monitor possible resolutions: 1024x768x60, 1024x768x75, 1280x1024x75, 1280x1024x85, 640x480x60, 1600x1200x75 Current resolution setting: 1280x1024x75 Slave Mode: Disabled Video Memory Total: 33554432 Video Memory Used: 20971520 Texture Memory Total: 16777216 Texture Memory Used: 0 Display List Memory Total: 8388608 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sent using Phorum software version 3.3.2c <http://phorum.org>
