Hey Harry. If nothing is checked. there probably lies your problem. You will
have to check line in level , or wav volume. or something like that. All so
make sure the the volume levels are above say 60 percent.

Hey Harry. you can do all this. But it sounds like your sound card is not
set up correctlly. You'll probably have to go in to the controll pannel, go to
sounds and audio devices, or what ever they call it in win 7. Might just be
sounds. and find your sound card settings dialogue box. Bit hard to give you a
lot more than this, because i don't know what you have in there to work with.
But if there is a play back tab, you could go in there, and see if there is
anything like line, or wav level, uted or not checked.

      Hi all,
I want to record something from a tape, however, after plugging the jack
for the patch cord into the headphone jack on the recorder and the other end
into the line in, also called the microphone jack on the computer, I try to
record something off the tape using studio recorder, and it works great, but I
can't hear what I'm recording while I'm recording it, so I don't know when the
recording is done playing on the tape. Will studio recorder let you listen to
what you're recording while you're recording it?
If so, can someone tell me what I have to do in the settings or whatever
part of studio recorder to do this?
      Harry
