I tried your idea Mike, when I looked to see if there was anything with
the words "stereo mix", or, just the word "mix", I have nothing. As a
matter of fact, I just have 1 choice, which is Microsoft sound mapper.
So, I guess that won't work.
Mary had a great idea about using an external sound blaster sound card.
Where do I get one of those at? Would it be a music store?
As I type this, it's Wednesday, April 20, and I need to get this set up
by Friday night, the 22nd.

Then open the options menu with alt plus o.
Press up arrow twice to get to "Select Wave devices, then press enter.
Tab once to Record Device.
Now, see if you can arrow up or down to a choice that says "Stereo Mix," or some variation of that, usually containing the word "mix."
If you find that, press enter.
Now, anything that goes through your sound card, including your screen reader speech, will be recorded.
You will have to re-select your previous setting on the Wave Device screen in order to return to using a microphone, line input source, etc.
Also, you may have to press alt plus down or up arrow in order to get the selection to change.
All that said, some sound cards do not give you the mix option, so you may not see it.
