[studiorecorder] Monitoring a recording with headphones

Hi, In every recording application I have, one is easily able to decide to
hear, or not to hear, the sound that is being recorded through headphones. I
have always been amazed that I cannot do this with studio recorder. Perhaps
if I use intercom mode, I can, but that sounds like a lot of work and I
don't need two microphones and two sets of phones. So, is there an easy way
to do this? If not, is there a reason why SR cannot do this?
