Today's site, from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies,
offers a publication focused on environmental topics around the world. Gentle
Subscribers will find comprehensive coverage of diverse ecological subject
areas from an encompassing perspective.

With noteworthy contributors from a range of fields -- scientists, policy
makers, and business people -- the publication deals with sustainability,
business and innovation, biodiversity, energy, and water among other themes,
with reports, analysis, forums, podcasts and video content. While a significant
segment of environmental reporting tends towards the gloomy and grim side of
ecological issues, this journal also features stories with a more positive
direction. Recent articles have explored Iceland's proposal to export its
geothermal energy via under sea cable to the U.K., the ongoing restoration
efforts in Washington state to reclaim the Elwha River as one of the nation's
great salmon rivers, and the attempts of Japanese scientists to save that
highly prized Asian food, the wild eel.
