greetings Lawrence the thing with ios versus jaws is more of a personal
preference
The mac is fantastic and i believe if you check on i store you would be
able to find a form of tutorial
Also if you download eye blink radio on your apple device you will be able
to find and listen to podcasts that people have posted concerning mac and
literally any other info to do with technology for the blind

This may help you learn a lot and at your own pace

Hope this helps and all the best

Hello Laurence,

A general response to your question would be that Apple products come
with a built in voice over and are quite remarkable.

All that is necessary is finding some time to learn how the screen
reader/voice over works.

By and large, it will enable you to perform all the required tasks.

Kind regards,

Samuel

Dear Mute,
It does, equal to or even better. Like any other apple product, the Mac
is
just fantastic and offers several options to the blind.

Hello folks
Proceeding on the JAWS theme (or away from it), is any of us blind
folk using a Mac? With Voice Over? Does it work as well as JAWS?
Thanks.
