I also wondered about it some times ago. just a quick note, because it's really late here and 2 days of defcon ctf qualification are... uhm.. stressfull, well remeber that SlackBuild files extensively use GNU cp's "-a" switch which isn't supported by macosx BSD cp (however "-a" is just an alias for a bunch of options)
