Alexandru,
I tried the way of creating sub brackets manually by selecting appropriate
staves before asking on the list and it didn't work for me. Don't know why.
Maybe this is because I renamed all instruments via staff names and not via
"edit instruments" dialog. Of course, it doesn't sound like a good idea
because brass instruments is grouped correctly without any additional
tweaks. Besides manual sub bracket creation should work on any staves I want
but this only idea I have. Anyway Will try to change piccolo and flute names
in the edit instruments and repeat my attempt. I will also try to experiment
with the violins as you suggested and let You know what result I get.

Dmitry,
I made some experiments together with my brother and I discovered that if
you want to create a sub-bracket yourself, you can go to the respective bar,
select the following staff with Shift + Up or Down Arrow and create one. It
will be created, but if you press F5, you'll see that you're not positioned
on the bracket. Actually, my brother tried to select it with the mouse, but
when I pressed F5, JAWS told me that this item could not be detected. By the
way: if you really want to create the sub-bracket yourself, don't select the
whole bar with Control + Shift + Right Arrow as the sub-bracket will get
bigger
Another thing which I discovered is that for some reason, the first and
second violins for example, are not sub-bracketed in the Romantic Orchestra
template by default. However, you can try to delete one of them and add it
again, and the sub-bracket will appear. This is what actually happened in my
chase.
I am really curious to know what has worked for you.
HTH,
Alex

Alex,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, Sibelius didn't bracket those staves.
It has been confirmed by a sighted person, so I hoped that there is
something I could fix. Well, Will try to find someone sighted to do it.
Thanks again for all the advices you give on this list.

Dmitry,
Unfortunately, we cannot select any bracket or sub-bracket which we create.
It is placed in the score, indeed, but for any further adjustments or if you
even want to delete it, you'll have to ask a sighted person to do it for
you, of course, using the mouse. However, the score you sent looks good, in
the sense that the order of instruments is correct and the options in the
Edit Instruments dialog are also OK. You changed the names properly, so this
shouldn't affect how the instruments are bracketed at all. In theory, I
think Sibelius should have sub-bracketed the Piccolo and Flute and the first
and second Violin automatically so that you don't have to adjust anything at
all. But Unfortunately I cannot comment anymore as I cannot see the score at
all. Again, we cannot manipulate brackets, sub-brackets and braces using the
keyboard, so as I previously said, you'll have to ask a sighted person to do
it for you.
Sorry I couldn't help anymore,
Alex

Dmitri,
I don't think you can have attachments through this email server. You might
need to send directly to his email address, and not to the list.

Hi, Alexandru and all!
Alexandru, thanks for your reply. Here's the first page of my score. I used
the romantic orchestra template but I changed it a lot. I didn't change the
order of the instruments but I had to remove some instruments and change all
staff names to be in italian. However, I just changed the staff names and
didn't use "edit instruments" dialog. Don't know if it was the correct
choice.

Did you change the order of the instruments? Also, what kind of template
did you choose? Classical, Romantic, Concert Orchestra or anything else?
I think it would help if You atach the score so that we can investigate the
problem together.
