[sib-access] Re: Trouble Installing Sibelius

I've installed the new version of Portaudio, but nothing's changed, it's still
stuck. It plays the music to let me know Sibelius is starting, but after that,
nothing happens. I try pressing Alt Tab a couple times, but I'm still stuck on
where to go next. Could it be that Sibelius Access 6 is still not available?

Download it from the following link:
http://www.sibelius.com/download/software/win/portaudio_x86.zip
then extract this archive, select the DLL file, copy it to your clipboard,
go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 5 or 6 and paste it
here.
That's all.

Hope this helps

Alex

Did you replace the PortAudio_x86 DLL file with the right one?

Try the escape key, or press the Enter key.

I can't get to that, since it's stuck on the splash screen.

Annabelle,

Go to the file/preferences dialog. Then look for something having to do with

a startup or splash screen and uncheck it.

Now that I've installed and registered Sibelius 6, there's a popup window
when
it runs, which JAWS can't read. How do I get rid of that Popup window? Would

I
have to have sighted help?

I hope someone else can help with this as I am more comfortable with Sib.5
Sorry about that.

Hi Annabelle,

Did you try extracting the files from the Sibelius zip folder? You
have to extract the files into another folder. Your zip extractor will
create a separate folder and put the files there.

Then you delete the portaudio driver from the new folder and replace
it with another one is can be downloaded from the internet. I would
attach the file for you but I do not think this list does attachments.

Kindly,
Vaughn

Explore the contents of the CD and press <enter> on "sibelius.exe". The
automatic installation is inaccessible.

Hi, it's Annabelle.
I'm not sure if this is the right department for my question, but here
goes.
I'm trying to install Sibelius 6 on my Windows 7 64 bit machine, but it
seems I'm stuck at the very first screen. I try to tab over, but JAWS
won't
report if there's a button or checkbox I'm pointing to. I wonder if
there's
a way to make that part accessible. This also happens when I attempt to
install Sibelius 5, the one that currently has Sibelius Access scripts.
