Here is how you switch tabs:
1. If you are entering the ribbon for the first time, pressing and releasing
the alt key puts you on the home tab. NVDA will confirm this.
2. You can then write arrow once. And this will move you to the next tab, the
Note Input Ribbon tab, in this case. But the only way to confirm this is to
either tab and shift tab once, or, press Escape to return to the score window
and then immediately press ALT quickly once more to return to the Ribbon.
Sibelius will always return you to the last tab you visited and NVDA will
always speak the first tab it sees upon entering the ribbon.
3. The file tab is a special case for two reasons:
A. First, whereas in any other case, Sibelius will return you to the last tab
you used wen you were in the ribbon, that doesn’t apply to the file tab.
Sibelius will always return you to the last tab you visited, other than the
File Tab. So, if you were in the Note Input tab, and then returned to the
score after using a function within the ribbon, then went to the File Tab by
pressing Alt, followed immediately by F for File, upon exiting the ribbon, the
next time you entered the ribbon by pressing and releasing the Alt key, you
would return to the Note Input tab, which was the last tab visited, not the
File tab, as you might reasonably have expected. The only way you can get to
the File Tab is to press Alt and then press F immediately.
Please read and reread the special documentation Gordon and I prepared. It’s
complicated but everything is there.

Hello!
I have another question about new versions of sibelius. Well, actually I
have two questions but the second one is more complex so I will put it under
another subject and post it here later. And as for the first one, it is
about the tabs of the ribbon. For example to get to the file tab we should
press alt and then f and so on, but could we go to the place where we can
switch those tabs with arrow keys or ctrl+tab? Thanks.

Hello Kevin:
I came back after I read all your documents, and tried very hard to do
all things.
the Most important thing for me now, si that some people send me some
files, that were wrote on Sibelius 8, I must convert them to Sibelius 5
to work on.
Even this, I can not reach to it using the ribbons, so can you tell
me, how can I make export from sib8.5 to any previous version?
Thanks for your support

Sibelius 8.5 is extremely temperamental when compared to 5.25. Learning
the
ribbons is very difficult, in my opinion. Did you read the article that I
linked in this thread? Read it thoroughly.
Can you get the same professional response and ease of use that you are
used
to? Definitely not. Stay with 5.25 as long as you humanly can.
If you must upgrade to windows 10, Sibelius 8.5 is your only option and
you
will be able to do some things. But you will work very hard to learn the
new
system.
Again, please read the article on the Sibelius website thoroughly.
Download
the Sibelius user guide that Gordon Kent and I Road. There is a link to

Hello all: and sorry that I am coming late to this thread
Kevin: from your Sibelius use,
do you think that Sibelius 8.5x with NVDA can achieve all things that
Sibelius 5.2.5 can do now with sib-access?
Need your opinion before upgrading to Widnows 10, also, that I hate
using the ribbons and can not understand til now how to deal with them
inside Sibelius, can you at least explain this for me?
and, can I get the same professional task like with Sibelius 5.2.5?
Thanks

nope, but Sibelius does come with an extensive user manual. I think
the screen reader portion is up to you.

Kevin, so you mean not now?
The trouble is, we always get cloak and dagger stuff. O we're not
allowed
to
say anything. O yes, it's coming. It's coming. Well it's taking a
bloody
long time. I'm sorry, but Sibelius 5.5 was released ten years ago,
and
ever
since there have been promises promises, and excuses, excuses. Are
we
all
supposed to be Methuselahs before anything happens. It's beyond a
joke;
it's
a disgrace, but nobody dare say so; we're all supposed to be jolly
grateful
for our little bowl of rice.
Because it's only music, the organizations which should be
addressing
the
problem of accessibilit for music notation very largely aren't
interested.
We are really not much further forward than we were twenty plus
years
ago
when David Pinto did his work on Sibelius 3. Or at least, that's
what
it
seems to me. If I'm wrong, I'd be delighted. But time and time
again,
we're
led up the garden path and nothing happens, does it? Or, does it? y
