Yep. it can be done, for sure in version 2003 and beyond. Not sure of 2002. 
Look in the action menu when you have the message open that you'd like to 
recall.

Never heard of recalling a message, and I have Outlook, although it's 2002.

Okay with me, but I already read it.

Unfortunately automatic recall of a message works with anyone using
MS-Outlook, but not with Outlook Express.
