Hello Nitin

Out of the three terminations (Parallel ground, Parallel thevenin &
source series) only source series termination can provide u full
swing(rail to rail). As u mentioned in ur query u need full swing at the
output so the other two terminations can't be used. As far as driver
strength is concerned, If I say the capability of driver is 25 mA(at
some Voh & Vol) means I m specifing it's output impedance. If u r
deriving a 50 ohm transmission line & u want to have full swing at o/p
in first go(without multiple reflections) ur driver impedance must be
equal to 50 ohms. In ur case the impedance of driver is higher than 50
ohms(O/p impedances are always defined at some Voh & Vol as u have not
mentioned, I'm assuming it to be 0.5*supply) therefore full swing
voltage at the receiver input will appear after few
reflections(depending upon the impedance mismatch at the driver side).
whether these reflections will effect ur operation that will depend on
o/p transition time & transmission line delay. U'll always get rail to
rail(full swing o/p) as transmission line impedance only remain in
effect during transistions. Lower the current capability of ur driver,
more no. of reflections will be reqired before o/p settle.
