Hi Vijay, Take a look at the article: www.dsmith.org/pdf/emc96.pdf for a way of measuring the magnetic field shielding effectiveness of a material. For shields within electronic equipment, especially small equipment, magnetic field shielding effectiveness is oftem more meaningful than electric field or plane wave shielding effectiveness. I have found many materials rated at 100 dB to plane waves check out at about 10 dB to a (perpendicular) magnetic field. Such a field often illuminates shields in equipment.
