Hi Aubrey,

Bulk resistivity of pure copper is 1.7e -8

conductivity is the inverse of that or 5.8 e 7

http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/Cu/phys.html

as was discussed previously, the introduction of
impurities into the copper will affect its conductance
and conversly resistivity.....

Advance apologies to those who feel I need additional
decimal points of resolution on my numbers. 8-)

Who said those chemistry classes and studying of
the periodic table wouldn't pay off.

best regards,

Michael Greim

Hi Mick!

Aside from the differences (plated vs anealed, pure vs alloyed and layered)
others have pointed out, is it possible you had a sign error in your
calculations? resistivities for copper are in the mid e+7s not e-7s as you
have below.
