Hi, We have a bundle with several 2,5 mm^2 TP cables, and I would like to eva= luate the impacts of usage with RS-485 networks (transmission line). Besides length, capacitance of the line, transmission speed and terminati= on, I think that Skin Effect can be a issue (since the wires have bigger cros= s section area). But I don't know how to evaluate, since Skin Effect will a= ct in the higher harmonics. In this sense, I would like to ask some tips for the evaluation of skin e= ffect impacts (signal ringing, overshoot, etc): - Suggestion of method; - Simulators; Thank's for the help, Eugenio =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D Eugenio Fredericci Sim=F5es ------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from si-list: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field or to administer your membership from a web page, go to: //www.freelists.org/webpage/si-list For help: si-list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'help' in the Subject field List technical documents are available at: http://www.si-list.net List archives are viewable at: //www.freelists.org/archives/si-list or at our remote archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/si-list/messages Old (prior to June 6, 2001) list archives are viewable at: http://www.qsl.net/wb6tpu
