William,

I think Hyperlynx is easier to setup and runs through the flow for batch =
mode
cross talk analysis of the whole board and other post layout SI =
simulations.
We use Allegro on the layout side so we usually convert Cadence board =
(.brd
file) into formats that hyperlynx can easily import and get us going on =
the
simulations quickly.

One thing you might want to consider is the licensing, mentor has many
flavors of hyperlynx with various features. You might want to look at it
carefully. For example it doesn't allow multiple board simulations using =
the
basic Hyperlynx version.

Subject: [SI-LIST] Post Layout Simulation

Hello all,

We are in the process of evaluating Hyperlinx and SpecctraQuest for
post-layout simulation of our (mostly digital) PCB designs.

I was hoping to get feedback on the experience others have had in doing
post-layout simulation of Cadence designs with various simulation tools.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.
