Dear SI-List members.

I am looking for any method or code for transfer function pole/zero extraction
from measured S-parameter.
The measured S-parameter is from coaxial cable.

I summarized what I have tried and its results for better advice.
1. Decide the candidate rational function(6th-order numerator and 6th-order
denomenator) for the cable transfer function.
2. Execute nlinfit function at MATLAB.
3. Result : The approximated rational function fits roughly but it doesn't seem
to fit accurately enough.
4. Result : The approximated rational function coefficient includes imaginary
part(i.e. complex coefficient) -> (Is this proper result? Can the Pole/Zero be
extracted from such a complex coefficient?).

Thanks in advance for your help.
