Claudio: could you please forward this message to SI-list? Dear all, This info should be of interest for the SI community. Macromodeling softw= are from EMC Group at Politecnico di Torino, Italy has ben made available= for download (http://www.emc.polito.it/software). A short description of= the available packages is given below. IdEM 2.3 IdEM stands for Identification of Electrical Macromodels. It is aimed at = the generation of macromodels for linear lumped multiport structures (e.g= ., connectors, packages, vias, discontinuities, ...), known from their in= put-output port responses. The input-output characterization of the struc= ture under investigation can come from measurement or simulation, either = in frequency domain or in time domain. A SPICE link allows the automatic = synthesis of the macromodels into equivalent circuits that can be process= ed by standard circuit solvers. Passivity can also be enforced using fast= algorithms based on Hamiltonian matrices. Mpilog 2.0.1 Mpilog (Macromodeling via Parametric Identification of LOgic Gates) is a = tool designed for the interactive generation of macromodels for the I/O p= orts of digital integrated circuits. The proposed macromodels are obtaine= d from device port responses only and can be implementated in several for= mats to be directly included in most commercial simulators. They match th= e accuracy and efficiency for the realistic system-level simulations aime= d at the assessment of SI and EMC effects in high-speed digital circuits.= Hope you find this useful.
