Hi Pushpa, What is the Rise time/Fall time of the signal. There are multiple thumb rules like 1/6, 1/9 rules to calculate the Critical length depending upon the Rise time of the signal. The thumb rule says that=20 L > 20% Rise time of Signal / 6 ----This is 1/6 rule The best way to choose the length is to simulate it in SI Pre-Layout tools like HyperLynx or ICX Pro Explorer and see the effect. The thumb rule may not give you the optimum results so better to use Pre-Layout SI tools. Hope this will help you.
