Rich, happy to answer your question:

To answer your question, we will have the ability to run the software on
TDS8000 and acquire data from the scope locally as soon as (i.e,
simulteneously with the time when) Tektronix releases their interface inside
TDS/CSA8000 to enable such funcionality. The latter event should happen
shortly. Not being a Tektronix employee, I can not comment on when the exact
date when they will release this interface.
