Hi All,
i wud like to know whether any standards to select ESD grounding wire.
What AWG i shlould select for esd grounding. is it possible to relate the
i2t of the cable with the esd burst energy? or to discharge in the rate of
20A in 1 ns , what should be the maximum inductance of the conductor. No
where i cud find ESD modelling with inductor. It would be help full if you can
provide me some formulae to justify the
selection of particular AWG wire for grounding and also the length of the wire.
That could equate the mechanical and
electrical property of the wire- whether it is sufficiently good enough to
withstand the ESD flow or good enough to discharge smoothly without
impeding. with that i will be able to justify the reason why i am
selecting a particular gauge, when question comes why not some other
gauge.
thanks in advance for any information related.

Ranju.
