Thanks all for the pointers to the various tools, they were exactly what I
was looking for. I had completely forgotten to reinstall AppCAD after my
system was migrated to a new OS.
If it is of any use for the future reference of others:

They seem to agree fairly well on my geometry, but I needed to reduce the
gap width by about 0.1um in the HP tool to get a solution.
