Mohamad,

What I do with any time domain simulator is to run tests with a 
progressively decreasing time step (spatial resolution) and compare the 
results.  Generally there is a resolution beyond which there is no 
significant increase in accuracy, and no significant change in the 
resulting waveforms.  Once I know that point, I then back off the 
simulator resolution to a point where there is faster performance with 
acceptable resolution.
