The only brindle I've seen was a Dutch Shepherd. They look like a GSD but are
an actually registered breed. The police department north of Kansas City has
one on their force and they did a domo for our club, that is the first and only
Dutch Shepherd I've seen in real life. Did a little research on them and they
are not an AKC breed but have been around for a very long time.

When I was first getting into dogs, I was at an obedience trial and saw a GSD
that appeared to be brindle. I don't know if it was an ILP GSD or a fully
registered GSD, but the owner said it was a GSD. Has anyone seen a brindle GSD?
