These are excellent questions, what kind of teeth should we  put in it?  If 
you have a complaint against you, you are removed until the  complaint is 
satisfied?  Suspend membership until satisfied? or suspend  membership if not 
satisfied? I would also like to know what people find  objectionable.
 
I was just directed by the board that only members of the club  that have 
signed the Breeder's code could be give PC Breed referrals.   Should we make 
it a requirement for membership?

FAVOR of however stringent the club wants to make it, and I don't advertise 
on  the PC web site, (way too small to justify)...
 
But what is it about the current code that offends, and what would be the  
reason for not wanting to sign it???
 
FYI ALL of our Del Valley regional members sign on the back of the DV  
member application that they agree to abide by the PC's Breeder Code of  
Ethics. 
 In addition, as a member of the PA Federation, each year when I  renew I 
sign that I will agree to abide by the PA Puppy Lemon Law etc.,  etc.  
 
If I have a gripe w/ either it's that they don't go far enough, that  there 
aren't enough "teeth", but my "gripe" doesn't preclude me from  
signing...so what is so objectionable????
 
I understand Christine's point that some "jerks" are signers, but there  
are "jerks" in every organization.

only promoting those kennels who  sign the BC?
So if we are unable to utilize OWN parent club site to  advertise, then
shouldn't we be given a break on membership. Afterall, it  is the

* that makes the very club possible.  Not just  the BC signers but EVERYONE.
The fact that the parent club allows only BC  signers to use the site to
their advantage gives the distinct appearance  of 'POLICING" the
breed....what's next?  Breed Wardens?

If  people are not given the opportunity to use their memberships fully  
then
some compensation should be made to them...how about PARTIAL  membership
fees, since the club is only giving out PARTIAL  privilege.
