Had to grin when I read about the wildlife...
Caught my breath after seeing my first mountain lion tracks....a mile from
our house in the "park " where I run...
The black tailed Jackrabbits are the size of small deer...no not kidding!!
Bobcats, yep, deer yep...taranalas, tarantual hawks, eweeee...t
and just for fun today
I ran across one of the local denizens.....literally ran across...
me and my trusty gal "Siren" (Ch. EMale to Caliente)
heard LOUD hhhhhHHHHHHHHAAAAIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSS!SSSSSSS!!!!!
Stopped Siren and me dead in our tracks....lo and behold 18 inches from the
side of the trail ,
we were running and directly next to us....was a four foot Red Diamondback
rattler....
then the rattling started....boy was he MAD!!! All coiled up, and not
moving.
I chucked a couple of rocks at him to get him away from the trail...
Siren was on the OPPOSITE side of the trail pulling on the lead and looking
at
me as if to yell "ARE YOU CRAZY, YOU ARE THROWING ROCKS AT IT AND IT
WANTS TO KILL US?????"
I made record time on the remaining 3 miles .....with goosebumps the whole
way, LOL
