To the list-- Just wanted to say one more sincere Thanks for all the input and prayers for my bitch. I'm so glad she's home now. She seems much more comfortable but very tired. The vet feels confident that there isn't an intestinal blockage, just a ball of food that wasn't being digested due to gastroenteritis. SQ fluids and a steroidal anti-inflammatory seem to be helping. She consulted with another vet at the clinic who said that our German Shepherds are prone to slowing down of the GI tract as they get older leading to problems such as this. I'm wondering (and will ask tomorrow) if I should be even more concerned now about bloat, torsion, TGS, etc. Even with all of our differences, this list is a wonderful resource!
