Ok.... but 20 years speaks for itself. That right there gave you the vested
interest to join. What I meant to address was more the new person. No
loyalty, no vested interest, just a new dog, and a new curiosity at what could
be a potential hobby.

Not quite. I have not shown in more than 20 years, am not breeding and
currently don't have a dog. I rejoined the PC 4 years ago because of my undying
interest in the breed and to help support it.
I like to know which direction the breed is taking. That interest will never
dissipate.
