thank you both, I'm just trying to make sense of a strange event, that  
seemed ok on the surface until you started looking at all the facts then it 
just  didn't make any sense. 
To deny a group on the basis of color when all other aspects are equal  
reminds me of of the place I grew up, Arkansas in the late 50's. The only  
difference I find in the white vs colored is just  that, colored, and it's  
pretty much an owner handled group. 
How on earth could we get the AKC to allow a variety? Would that appease  
both sides?
Frankly, if the DQ was removed I do recommend that all the members that  
don't approve of the white gsd should not have one, or reward them in the show 
 ring if they judge gsd's. Just because they wouldn't be a dq doesn't mean  
everyone is obligated to embrace them. Let them stand on their own merit 
and see  what happens.
Although sometimes things, like opinions change over time. Some of mine  
have.
