The Governor or LA was on TV last PM saying her office has received numerous
offers from other countries re food, aid and SAR teams as well as calls from
the Red Crescent (overseas version of the Red Cross). The problems now
appear to be logistics. How do you get the aide to New Orleans in particular,
or
the beach front areas of Mississippi where the roads connecting the towns
over the waterways are washed out? The US navy is sending amphibious teams...
