I can relate to your problem as one of my bitches is also on a 3 1/2 mo. -
4mo. cycle--- unfortunately in the majority of these cases the bitches will not
conceive. It takes a mnimum of four months rest between cycles for the bitches
uterus to be ready to receive sperm and implant. I have tried both natural
breedings and transcervical implants and have done all the progesterone
testing. It just doesn't work with these girls who cycle this frequently.
I have consulted and worked with a highly respected reproduction specialist
in this area. Our last chance was to put my bitch on Cheque drops to keep her
out of season for at least 6 months. She will go off the drops in a few
days and we will try and breed her whenever she comes in. There are downsides
to
Cheque drops ---- they can never conceive - but since that is already the
problem I have nothing to loose. She is the last of my bloodlines so I will try
anything. Also, the drops can make them more aggressive/bitchy (which has
happened) and I have taken her off raw food as some feel all the hormones and
additives to meat may also cause breeding problems. I personally do not believe
this as all my dogs have been fed raw meat since the 80's and this is the first
one that has had a problem conceiving....but as I said I am will to try
anything.
Sorry I don't have better news, but this has been my experience.
