[ SHOWGSD-L ] The Wolf

Thank you all that resonded to my wolf inquiry. This is turning out to be
interesting. I got some excellent advise from the Listers and started it
today.
As it turns out, although the wolf (Rain) has already bonded with me, it
seems my early efforts with her have paid off. It is reported that she is much
more open to people now. I have had limited contact with Rain but she already
knows my voice and waits for me to see her when I go there. She watches me
like a hawk too. She doesn't seem to mind the dog scent on me except when
after
I was working a bitch in season. Wouldn't get near me for awhile. She no
longer tucks her tail or hides from me when I stand up or move. This is major
progress after only 3 weeks of knowing her. She really wants to socialize but
doesn't know how. I really hope the owners will let me work with her after
she goes home.
The behaviors are very different form domestic dogs. However, I know all of
you have had a neurotic dog a time or two. That probably goes back to that
wolf heritage as wolves can be very neurotic.
Anyway, thank you all that responded. We have a plan now. I have talked
people out of the movie thing and the idea is to let her be a wolf that can be
social with people.
