This reminds me of something that happened at one of our specialty shows
years ago. A friend was there with her children - one being very young. At

point he crawled into an empty crate that was under our canopy and fell
asleep.
We all thought that it was so cute so just let him stay there for a
nap....he was never left alone....we were always sitting right there.
Then all of a
sudden the police showed up at our set up. They had a complaint from a
member
of the public saying that some dog people at the park had locked a child in
a
crate and felt it was cruel. So the cops had to follow up and because it
was a complaint that accused the mother of something like "child abuse" and
they
would in turn have to report it to Child Welfare who would also follow up on
the complaint. And yep, a few days later my friend who was the mother
received a call from Child Welfare.
When they followed up and got the whole story nothing came of it, but if you
do this be aware that someone may report you to the authorities.
This just happened to my daughter I had a puppy here and he was laying in
the crate so my grandson who was 18 mo at the time crawled in the crate pulled
the door shut and was laughing at the puppy kissing him I thought nothing of
it and snapped a photo as it was a cute picture well so I thought.
CPS showed up at my daughters house this morning asking about the photo that
was posted on her Myspace someone seen it and reported it. So an innocent
moment and photo ( so I thought) got her in trouble and being an Army wife
she
got the double whammy.
