[ SHOWGSD-L ] coat blowing boy question

i have a 12 month old male here who seems to feel the need to blow coat every 4
months or so...1st i figured he was loosing his puppy coat, then the diamond
dog food nightmare, but now he's at it again. his diet is well balanced, and i
suppliment.
his breeder, my friend, thinks i bathe him too much (right gab?) his is in
full coat right now, today, and starting to blow. there's a spot on his croop
that is loosing guard hairs too...his skin is fine, and no fleas, ticks, dry
patches or hot spots....
any ideas? thanks.
