I hear you --
Santa Clara valley in California was fabulous farm land that could grow
anything -- unfortunately it grew poluting semiconductor companies.
The top soil here in the Willamette Valley in Oregon is 300 ft deep and this
is the nursery capital of the country -- but more and more of it gets paved
daily.
So very sad. So extremely STUPID!!

We live on some of the best farmland in the midwest. Our neighbors sold
their farm to a developer. We now have a subdivision going up right next to
us. The developer did not take the option on the rest of the land due to
the poor economy. There are 12 houses built -3 have been sold. They are
now talking about a bypass around our town.If it goes where they are talking
about the exit will be on the other edge of our farm and take land from it.
I do not understand what the powers to be are thinking. this is top farm
land We do not need more new homes there are at least 1500 for sale in
town now.
Worry about dog show locations I worry where the food for my grandchildren
will be grown.
