In the performance areas, disqualifying faults are dictated by the breed
standard which will not eliminate the dog from competing, other that the dog
that attempts to bite the judge ....
It has been the GSDCA's definition of what could be awarded the highest award
that had eliminated the whites and other disqualifying faults from competing at
the Nationals. Granted there have been a few whites over the years going for
legs and within their rights to show.
It was also the GSDCA that required proof, first by earning a breed ribbon
which then was changed to having the conformation judge examine the winning dog
to make certain it did not have any disqualifying faults.

conformation ring. No one every made it a disqualifying fault in obedience.
I applaud our board that listened to a group of our members who have
dedicated themselves to a part of OUR BREED!
