The cost of oil is going to change the world economy. The Chinese are
becoming a major buyer of oil, and it is a limited resource. We may well find
sports that require travel will no longer be an option. Let's face it, we
have
to accept that until this country eliminates it's dependence on oil, we are
going to be at the mercy of those who sell it. Eventually the price of gas
will make travel for pleasure no longer an option.
We need a plan for energy that replaces petrol-chemicals. In an absence of
that approach, events such as dog shows will be a very low priority. If the
economy continues to be so dependant on oil, we will have to find a way to
replace travel, or eliminate it. Dog shows are going to be one of the early
victims of the economy.
I am sure glad I kept the Harley.
