Afraid of what ? I don't know of anyone afraid to x-ray. The majority of
people I know do x-ray before putting big bucks into showing the dogs.
That's only common sense. Should I not show my dogs because they are not yet
of age to be OFA'd ?

You are a breath of fresh air. At times it gets smack of old breath
and stale air here.
I agree with you 100%.
Dogs and bitches that show ( that are looked at to be potential studs
and brood bitches ) should most definitely be OFA'd.....not just
prelimbed.
I have to wonder why the humming and hawing and "no it shouldn't be
mandatory" ....why not??
Of course the big 'ole argument comes up about "well the tests just
aren't 100%". Bugger that. They are the best we have so bloody well do
it. It DOES weed out.
In my world...elbows would be done as well. ( more excuses )

Denise, I think Pam is saying that if the dogs that are being shown are to be
looked at as studs and brood bitches they should be OFA'd?
The world I live in has breeders pronoting dogs as potential studs and brood
bitches....not OFA'd, not prelimbed...just babes of Champions. That's enough to
bring around the no-minds.
Why not do what you can??
