I think this will have to be an individual decision. In your case you say you will limit to 2 shows a year but a look at the AKC website you judged a show 2 years ago and then before that it was 4 years ago. The question then becomes for judging 2 shows in 4 years does it become worth the price AKC wants? In my case I do over 30 breeds so my cost per year will be well over $200.00. I am going to have to decide if it is worth it for me. Since the economy tanked and I don't do 2 full groups I am not sure it will be worth it for me to continue either. Will have to do some soul searching. Will have to do the same thing when it comes to paying up $66.00 to renew in the GSDCA , is it worth it? What do I get from them but a lot of controversy and a very small magazine ( not a swipe at Susan she can only print what is given to her in articles and ads).
