Is she anywhere near where there could be raccoons???? There is something
called "coon fever" that mimics neurological symptoms and comes on very
suddenly. (Unlike DM). Apparently dogs pick up a virus from racoon urine and
it affects their nervous system. Very difficult to diagnose, supportive
care.

Spine issues and OFA Hips are totally unrelated. IS this her diagnosis,
has she been xrayed? How long has she had this issue? According to this
site, it DM CAN occur in younger dogs, a simple blood test can confirm,
normal age is between 4-14.

Has anyone ever heard of Spinal Myelopathy in young dogs, e.g. 2 and 1/2
years? I have friends who have a 2 1/2 year old shepherd who is showing the
signs and they are baffled. The dog is a female and otherwise fine, but
has been wobbley on her back end. The typical walk, walk, flop over to one
side that we know. Any comments? Both parents are OFA certified and so
