What I said was that I do NOT think this is the same as the Congo case and
you can bet that if a dog came after my child he would not be around to go
after another. I think that there are FAR too many irresponsible owners out
there. That would be why insist that anyone getting a pup from me attend
obedience classes. It doesn't mean that it will cure everything but it can
help give a good base and its purely neglectful that this owner did not even
consider classes until she was in this situation. I also wonder as did
another why the dog was able to run up to this woman loose. I am not an
advocate of putting dogs to sleep but put yourself in the situation of
having to protect your child aginst a dog coming at them. I could really
care less if it was the 1st offence wasn't this child an infant? How bad
would that have been if he had connected? Wouldn't that have been terrible
if the child was mauled? There was not any mention of anyone doing anything
to the dog at all. Congo was protecting his owner this dog was just out to
bite someone by the sounds of it.
