I do, though, think it's specifically against the AKC rules to make that change
once the premium list has been released to the public (and provided to the AKC
as required). Maybe, because we all understand how important those special
rosettes can be, it could be "changed back"? I don't exhibit in agility or
obedience (at least not yet), but would be willing to contribute to that cost
and imagine others might, as well?

It is my understanding that it was the decision of agility committee to
change from from rosettes to ribbons. Not the "GSDCA", not the show chair,
but the committee in charge. You know, the folks who volunteer their time
and work to put on the trial? ....They voted to change a few weeks back but
forgot to update the premium and it was caught at the last minute. The late
update to the premium was human error......so you can fire them.... Oh wait,
you can't. They are volunteers!
My suggestion would be instead of complaining to the list, give the agility
committee your input at the National when you are thanking them for their
hard work.
