Dogs are cool...all of them. But, to me the GSD is the one breed that stands 
out.  I have had Salukis, IGs, Yukies (Yorkies), Goldens, Rotties and my mom 
loves Silkies and so we have one of those.  I did an awful lot with my 
Salukis...had the top obedience 'Luki in the country at one time...almost had 
his UD until he passed away from a stroke.  I think about my GSDs and there is 
something special about them.  I have 2 boys now and 
I am so proud to take them out on walks together....I mean I am small and to 
see me walking these 2 big boys must look a sight!  Working them is so fun.  As 
I get older I wonder if I will have the energy and will to handle GSDs.  Not 
sure.   I think that I might have another Saluki at some point as I love their 
crazy minds.  They are not the easiest dog to live with, but they are so 
beautiful to me.  Cynthia

My neighbors laugh at me because I just am conversing with one of them  
and I'll say, with no change in my tone, "Dreamer, where did you leave  
your ball?" And he'll look at me and go right to where he left it and  
bring it to me.  After a bit, (yes, I throw it a couple time for  
reward LOL), I say, in different ways, not always the same words,  
"well, I have to go in now Have a nice day", and Dreamer will just  
head for the house, waiting at the gate for me to open it.   He  
probably knows more words than a four, five  year old... maybe a  
teenager who doesn't want to hear :-)

The other two are just as tuned in and we have lots of fun impressing  
our neighbors.  Now if they could just tell Big Black male Dreamer  
from definitely b/t little bitch Tennie.... (They have a cat:-)
