No......

The Rose City Cluster elects one general show chair each year.

They, in turn, choose committee chairs. One of those chairs is

the Specialty Coordinator. It is their job to work with the specialty clubs.

The specialty club may choose their own judge (and are responsible for

their expenses) for the specialties and has input into who will judge the AB

GSD entry. The benefits are:

The AB clubs contract with the Superintendent.....all rings are set up by the

Super....and taken down by the same.

The Super makes a combined catalogue for all specialties on a given day.

Motel rooms are set up by the Block, at a reduced rate.

Shuttle services are set up with the motels for the judges...to and from the

shows and to and from the airport.

All services with the Expo center are taken care of by the AB clubs.

There is a ton of grooming space.....with a bathing station (5 Booster Baths).

There is also a Chief Ring Steward, who has a working list of very experienced

ring stewards.

A Vet is on site every day, as well as EMD's.

Ribbons and trophies for the Specialties are generally left up to the Specalty
Clubs,

but they can work with the Super to cut expenses.

In essence, the specialty club show chair will meet with the other chairs and
sort

out the needs of the spec. club. On the day of the show, everyone gets to play

and no one has to work.

Carolyn,

FOUR SHOWS & TWO SPECIALTIES sounds great to the exhibitor...........but what
about the people who are putting them on? The same people will have to do all
4 shows.
Specialty clubs are folding because fewer new people are entering dog shows and
the current members are aging. Find me the box, please!
