Very good point. Talking doesn't do anything. Action does. The media is an excellent tool. I am currently working on a story for our local KTLA (WB) station. I am contacting everyone I know with Am Staff's, Rotties, Dobies, GSD's, etc. that do therapy work or are very sweet natured dogs. They have a reporter that is a total animal lover and is interested in showing these "viscous" dogs for what they can really be with the right owner. The message is that it is not the breed of dog but the owners that cause a problem. More legislation needs to be done regarding the irresponsible dog owners rather than the breed of dog. Don't know if the station's management will let the story air, but we are trying.
