Contact Dr. Traas at the Univ of Penn. She told me about a study that was done which showed some dogs reabsorb due to raw meat. She also said that large amounts of liver, can cause birth defects. Recently, one of my girls reabsorbed (confirmed preganat at 3 weeks, reabsorbed by 5 weeks). I had been supplementing her regular food with raw chicken backs & liver. Next time, i will not do it "just in case". Anne M.
