He was very qualified to judge BIS. Those that were not happy they selected a
judge from Canada did not have to play they could have stayed home Have been
reading all the nasty comments here and FB. As my friends in other breeds sees
it and tells me is that the GSD people are as bad sports as Cam Newton. The
judge like the other dogs on that day. I did not see any slugs in that BIS
ring. I think all the group judges did a great judge and the BIS judge could
have put up any of the 7 as RBIS OR BIS and he would have done a great job. We
all want to support our breed but when we don't win we should accept it and
move on. I was happy that all of team Rumour handler, owners, etc stayed out of
those conversations and did not bash the judge the dogs that won. Shameful that
there are so many sore losers in our breed. I would also bet most that are
bashing have no clue of the standard of the other breeds. WKC picks their
judges , you know well in advance who they are and you make the choice if your
want to play. If you play and don't win at least try to be nice and
respectfully. BTW I may be wrong and fairly certain next years BIS show is also
from Canada. I am sure if I am wrong someone will correct me in a nice way :-)

Did they invite a Canadian Judge for Best in

qualify for the breeds, they are all given to you
Well, no. People wanting to become judges in
Canada must apply for the breeds then groups they
want, do the exams, do the permits and haul their
butt around the country to do it. Once a judge
is licenced to judge in Canada, whether it's one
breed or all of them they are qualified to judge
in the USA, and vice versa. Not all judges will
see a dog the same as others (as in any country)
and may prefer some over others (as in any
country). Ask Michel Chaloux, he knows.
Not defending the choice of the Westminster
judge, we were glued to the TV in Canada too
hoping for the best team out there. The hound
group judge was also Canadian and she found that borzoi easy enough.
